Leo DeRuyter, loving husband, father, devoted grandfather, brother and friend, passed away March 9th, 2009 in Corona, CA. Leo was born on January 8th, 1929 in Ilpendam, Holland. Leo came to America with his family on July 4th, 1947 where he became a proud U.S. Citizen. He lived for a brief time in Artesia, Santa Ana, San Diego, before settling in the Corona area with his wife Joanne of 47 years. Together they raised 5 children.More...

8 December 2008 - In Memory of Wilhelmus (Bill) De Ruyter
 We regret to announce...

Wilhelmus (Bill) DeRuyter loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away December 8, 2008 in Yakima. Bill was born on June 18, 1926 in Ilpendam, Holland. At age 21, he immigrated to America along with his parents and siblings and initially settled in Artesia, California. In 1956, Bill met and married Maria (Mary) Tessel and made their home in San Diego, CA, where they owned and operated a dairy and milk store. Together they raised six children. Later the family relocated to Alberhill, CA and subsequently Bill retired due to health reasons. In 1976, the family moved to Washington and settled in the Yakima Valley (Outlook) where their three sons began operating the DeRuyter Brothers Dairy on Van Belle Road. In 1987, Bill & Mary briefly resided in Corona, CA but returned to Sunnyside in 1989. More...
  
8 October 2008 - In Memory of Lynda DeRuyter
 We regret to announce...

Lynda DeRuyter passed away on Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jake and their daughter, Kaitlyn. Also her mother, Doris Click and her brother, Rick Hanner. Lynda was born on July 18, 1962 in San Bernardino, California and resided in the Del Rosa part of Highland. She married her devoted husband of 21 years, Jake De Ruyter, in 1987 and moved to Riverside. Kaitlyn, her beautiful daughter, arrived in December of 1993. Lynda earned her BA degree in English at Cal State San Bernardino on her way to becoming an English teacher. She went on to teach English at Sierra Middle School for 19 years before becoming their Librarian until she retired in June of this year due to her illness.

John Raymond De Ruyter passed away Nov. 1, 2005. Born Jan 22, 1962 in Lynwood, CA, he was 43 years old. John is survived by his wife Mary and his three daughters Sarah, Rachael, & Elizabeth, his parents Jake & Judy and his brothers Tim, Mike, Don, Ted & Matt and sisters Linda & Lori, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Long Beach on Nov 4, 2005.
